How wonderful will it be to play on a video game system that offers graphics and sound that is extremely realistic? How great would it be to play with and against millions of other players world wide? Would that be the best gaming experience ever? An then add to it freedom from the clutter of wires and cables.
When Sony released the original Playstation game console it was by far the most advanced system of the time. It grew to dominate the video game market. That paved the way for Sony to again develop the most advanced next generation console, the Playstation 2. And now with the latest and greatest technologies, once again Sony is leading the pack with their latest offering, the Playstation 3.
The PS3 offers a very powerful central processing unit running at 3.2 gigahertz. This simply means that every second the processor have 3.2 billion clock ticks, each of which represents a piece of code being processed. Think of it this way, the PS3’s processor is almost a 1,000 times as powerful as the original desktop computers of the 1980’s.
Not only does the PS3 play CDs and DVDs, but it is equipped with the latest generation video disk player, called the Blu-Ray. Blu-Ray discs can store 5 times as much information as a regular DVD. This gives game developers the freedom to build more spectacular and realistic games and use their full creativity.
The Playstation 3 comes equipped with a wireless internet connection, called Wi-Fi. You can connect to the internet and play with people from all over the globe, and no wires! Speaking of no wires, the PS3 is also equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology, which makes it possible to have controllers that are wireless, and it gives you the freedom to play from where ever the Bluetooth signal will reach.
With a huge selection of games already available, and probably in your personal library, for the PS1 and PS2, it is fantastic that the PS3 is backwards compatible. All of these features makes the PS3 a must have for every video game lover.
